About ILGRA

The Illinois Gay Rodeo Association (ILGRA) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to raising
funds for community-related charities through functions preceding, and including, an annual
amateur rodeo.

ILGRA was seated in 1993 as a member of the International Gay Rodeo Association (IGRA). IGRA
has 20 member associations in the U.S. and Canada. These organizations produce at least 12
sanctioned rodeos each year including the International Finals.

In addition to the annual Windy City Rodeo, ILGRA produces many other events throughout the
year. Some of these include: the Annual Royalty Contest, Wild Wild West Weekend, Rodeo Around Town, the Miss Mary Christmas Show,
Spend a Day with ILGRA Camp Out, Miss Firecracker Show, Dollar Dances, and Variety
Entertainment Shows throughout Chicago and Illinois.   ILGRA has been around for 26th years… Cowboys ain’t Done Yet.
